Default Finally, my new engine!

Well its not brand new, but its new to me. lol So heres my rebuilt ls6 that i bought from HPE in spring, Tx. Now i just have some little things i need to get like head gaskets and a pulley bolt. Ill be using the 862s off my 4.8, the cam in my sig., and headers, and ill run the truck intake also. Later on ill pick up some some 243/799 to bolt on. Maybe even a 100 wet shot, who knows. I would just like to put over 300 to the wheels. With the current mods now my anemic 4.8 put down 260hp/(267tq.?) so i think my goal is pretty realistic. lol
So after this install ill have to do a trans. mod. I talked with Dana at Pro Built Automatics and he suggested a heavy duty/ street strip rebuild kit with a 2800 vigilante, I told him i already had a circle d converter in mind and he said he wouldnt go with circle d because they tend to run hot and burn up? I said nonsense, ill stick with a circle d based on the amount of happy customers on this forum alone.

Edit: well no pics. tonight, having difficulties. will post in the a.m.

Thanks guys.

F4tal: Ive been thinking about painting it but wasnt sure how it would turnout. Yours looks awesome, what paint did you use? Just orange and black engine enamel?

Tim Z: Yeah, I sure hope so. You diesel guys are half the reason for me getting this engine! lol I got tired of my buddies with programmed duramaxs and cummins kicking my butt.
