When I'm driving around on my untined LS6 cam I feel the truck have a little dead then normal moment about every 10 seconds sometimes. It just feels like a lil bump every so often that last for about .75 of a second and then it goes again.

Is this the TC lockign and unlocking? I kinda figured that is what it was? Tuning will completely fix that?

And congrads cooper! I'm glad its running well.

Mine doesnt do that during normal driving, only at slower speeds it does a very similar thing. Thanks i love the new cam and i figure not bad for a 17 year with two days to spare. I have to take the water pump off tonight i'm sure i over tightened the gaskets and cracked them.

I was 17 when I did mine too!

Nothing like us young gearheads!

I dunno if you cracked the gaskets. They are o-ring style rubber and you probobly just torqued it too much. Go loosen them up and torque to specs. Might want to go ahead and pull it to inspect it.

I know for a fact i over torqued them and the gaskets were on their last legs. It'll only take 30 mins to do it so i figure why not. Especially when the gaskets were only 10 bucks

How long was the install? Where did you get the cam and springs? I was quoted $1000 just for the installation of the cam and springs by a guy in Spokane. I am about 2.5 hours east of Seattle .

Congrats on the install.

$1k???? Holy crap. Read up on how to do yourself. I just read the LS1how-to article about 4 times and went at it. It is so easy and I'm sure you could spend $1k elsewhere.

I would really hate to screw something up. Joejoe has his blown engine in pieces and we might take out the cam just to see how to get to it. What would a good price be on the HIGH hand and where can I see those installation threads?
