FIPK installed...wheatley tune coming soon I hope
Howdy! Just starting to get back into the truck and forums and damn its addicting. The FIPK got installed a couple days ago and I honestly, didn't expect to see that much gain out of the thing, but the noise as the RPMs climb is definitely different and the top end feels a bit better. Nothing crazy good, but its noticeable. However, the damn TQ management blows (can't spin a damn tire for the life of me) and I cannot wait to get in to see Wheatley.
I have never been to the dragstrip or dyno as this truck is pretty much just used for cruising around town and towing ****, but what do y'all think I will gain powerwise from the FIPK/Tune and timewise what are stock times and then improvements from the intake and tune?
Truck is an 04 2500 HD crew cab 4x4 (LQ4) Thanks y'all & Gig 'em

maby 10-20 at most with intake and tune, as for the TM the 80E is a good trany but the gears are kinda hi compared to the 60E but our 80E's can hold way more power, try 4.10+ and see what you think

the cai and tune will make a hell of a difference, but I wouldnt expect spinning the tires though... that is a heavy truck plus its 4x4....... a good converter will probably do it.... either way youll be happy with a wheatley tune..

just got back from doing the wheatley tune. HOLY ****, i never woulda thought this thing woulda woken up that much just from some tuning. feels like a whole new truck and we still have about 50 % TQ management to let go of and firming up the shifts if we want. from a 40 roll with my Z28 in 4th (T56), the truck pulls hard until i catch up around 80. wheatley is a real informative and nice guy and I reccommend anyone to him!
wheatley: that 70 to 75 mph kickdown was crazy...we got up to about 110 or 115 in a hurry and my dad was just laughin his *** off saying thanks for convincing him to get it done.
