any pic's ya'll know of with a 4X4 with true duals?

reading about H and X pipe I think they both work the same just the H makes it a lower tone than the X dose. any thought on that would help also.

i run an x just because i like the sound. there are theories that x pipes scavenge better. i believe skeet picked up time going dual without an x or H...but i dont see any way that an h pipe wouldnt flow as good as straight pipes but with a more equalized sound. pick a poison and run with it.

LOL, yeah that is my thought on the X or H now to. Just pick one and go. heck might do H before muffler and X after.

IMO 3" TD's would not take away bottom end.

IMO that is more of an old school small block mind set. These LS engines need as much exhaust flow as possible.

In my case NO.

When I first did the 383 engine swap, it had dual 3" pipes terminating at the factory 2500 muffler. This OEM muffler necked down to a single 2.5" before the tailpipe.

After only swapping out to the Magnaflow 12599, 2-in 2-out dual 3" with a internal X, it made a massive difference all across the RPM range. I did not expect that big of a change from a muffler only.

I highly recommend it.

I'm starting to get the bug to do it now. I just got to figure out what bullets to use

headers to 3 inch pipe to H to the magnaflow 12599 then out the back. I know it will drone like that so would like to have some on hand.

If you had said something when we put the engine together I would have given you that dual 2.5 in/out Magnaflow that I had in the parts closet, but I sold it now big dummy!
