Default first oil change after rebuild

how much metal do you guys usually find on the magnet on the plug after you change the oil for the first time? i expected alot but it stuck off the magnet about 1/2 inch. about to open the filter and see whats inside.

i have put about 20 miles on the truck and it has about an hour or 2 worth of run time. does not make a peep of a sound indicating that i have a spun bearing or anything else.

the metal was dull and not flakey at all. very fine metal but it was stuck on the plug. this seems like it should be normal but if not i would rather pull the pan and check the bearings then drive it until i spin one.

When you drained the oil, could you see metal in the oil or just on the plug? It is normal to have some break in metal on the plug. I would only be worried if it was bronze. You're probably fine.

it was all black. nothing shiney at all. opened the filter and no shiney metal either. it was one of those things that i was not expecting when the plug came out. thought i would ask rather than assume.
