First time at the track

First time at the track
Was down at a car show at the track in Jacksonville, NC and it happened to be open all day so I decided I would try it out. I didnt think I would be able to hook with my street tires but I hooked every pass I made and beat a ford lightning on my last pass. This was the first time I have ever run down the track. Let me know what yall think of the time.

It's hard to tell without a little more detail. Times seem OK to me, but beating a lightning is impressive. The speed seems low frankly, but the time seems pretty good. Were you running on the 22's?
I ran almost identical times in my 05 Denali with a 222/226 and an i6 converter in a 4 speed which didn't do all that much for me. Your truck would be better on the last half of the track without a doubt though.

I was running with the 22's. Your right by the time the 1/8 mile is over my truck is pulling hard at the top of 3rd. I believe I would trap over 100mph without a problem. I know my 33 inch tires and 3.42's are my weakness. How much you reckon I would shave off with some 18's on the back?

Thats hard to estimate.
Typically I would hope for a 60' as quick as a 1.80 with a converter like yours. Maybe your converter isnt quite big enough for the cam you run though. That usually leads to trap speeds that are high for the times posted, but yours aren't.
Do you know what the DA was? You can look ti up by track and time on drag times .com. That will tell us a lot.

I never stalled the truck at the line. As soon as it staged the yellows were coming on. They were doing the pro tree setup. Not much time to wind up the motor. Since I was hooking next time I will def stall up and should see that drop in 60ft time.

Yea that will make a difference, but your converter should still help even if you dont stall it up. It still flashes a lot higher. I would have expected a sub 2 at least.
The 22" wheels are definitely hurting you. See if you can find some 17's. At that point traction won't be on your side though...
