Default Fixing to hit low 12's!!!!! Ordered some parts!

Last time out to the track I ran 13.1 @ 105 spinning my *** off past the 60'. The 60' was 2.1. That was no weight reductions and just a headlight mod. I was bound and determined to run a 12 and couldn't, it kept spinning worse and worse on the street tires. So, here's my parts list for has been ordered or will be ordered by the end of the week:

-Thunder Racing LS6 valley cover/PCV Conversion Kit
-New Style water pump off the 07' trucks
-Vengence Ported 90mm F.A.S.T. Intake
-Nick Williams 90mm Throttle Body
-Yank 2600 Converter
-Mickey Thompson ET Streets (28'' x 11.5'' - 16''LT)

That should get me down to ~12.3-12.4 @ 108-110mph, hopefully! Truck spins so bad, just the stall & slicks should make a little over half a second difference with the current truck intake. The ported 90mm FAST intake should make a ton of difference from 3000-6600. I was shifting around 6000-6100 because the truck intake was choking the power past 5800, it dips bad. So, with my cam and the new intake, it should make power up until 6400-6600. That should make a big difference as well. 500-800 more rpms and a lot more power! I can't wait until I go to the track in late september/early october, when the cold air hits!

What do ya'll think it will run?

If you can get your 60ft down to 1.7 then I see no problem with you hitting the number your looking for

Good luck... sounds like you'll have the parts needed to hit the mid to low 12's.

Keep us posted!

I'm thinking 12.5 12.6 range myself. Might wanna add some cal tracs or something of that degree to your parts list.

You will pull a 2.0 60' with that converter. You will still be WAY understalled.

Ordered the new truck style water pump that clears the LS6/FAST intakes, part #12600767. The converter, tranny pan, LS6 valley cover are here. I should get the ported FAST & 90mm TB today. I'm gonna paint it gloss black to match the valve covers and leave the FAST emblem red. Should look awesome!

The FAST intake hopefully won't be that bad to install. SHOULD be the same as the LS6, which I've looked over 100 times! The converter install is the only thing that's really worrying me right now. I'm gonna try and nail that this weekend. I'm gonna get me some more 6 ton jackstands, I hate being under a truck on jacks!

Any tips on the installs?

I don't know about a 2.0 60', but maybe a 1.85-1.9 at best with the 11.5 slicks you got. You undercut yourself on the TC though. Even with the decent amount of torque you are making, you would need a 3000 to get a 1.7 60'... But in any case, good luck with getting everything on! Post up times when you get them.
