Default Flex-A-Lite VSC problem fixed?

A friend of mine ordered the 282 set thinking it would fit his 04 Silverado...but it doesn't, so he gave em to me to try out. He'll sell em to me if I like them. Is the VSC problem fixed on the newer kits? He ordered it last week, so if i follow the instructions, I shouldn't have any problems? Are they easy to install?

I'm gonna hook em up...hopefully I won't damage anything to where someone else can't install them.

I haven't had any problems with the VSC, just the old fuse holder
