Default Flexalite Electric Fans

Has anyone used or has now Flexalite Electric Fans? I am just curious to see what gains or shortfalls they may have. Thanks.

I have them. Much cooler AC in the city stop and go traffic. That was my motive for getting them. Better MPG in city too. Maybe 1 mpg hiway gain.
In a search you will see many reliability issues. I too had problems. Through FAL's customer service I am ok for now. The fans are great. The controler and fuse holder have issues. One of them main things to do in avoiding the fuse melt down is to do as the directions say, connect directly to the battery. And make sure your connections are good on the controles and will not vibrate loose.

I have them, and like them a lot.

The fit is good, but not great. I had to modify the mounting tabs slightly in order to get them to sit under the radiator support correctly. It was easy enough to do.

If you are worried about the VSC failures you'll read about on here, you can buy a real nice controller here: http://www.dccontrol.com I like mine a lot. I'm running the smaller 35A controller.

I just put mine in about 2 months ago and I think they work great! The only problem I'm having is they do draw alot of power from your electrical system. I've been researching better alternaters and battery but I do have other high draw eqiupment.
