flexalite fans
I have the flex fans and there wiring harness. I also have the Nelson harness. Which do you guys think is better. Are there any pros and/or cons on either harness. the Nelson harness looks more like factory but thats the only difference I see.

I have a set of Flexalite 282's which i think are great. Although without hesitation i used a nelson harness vs. the VSC for several reasons.
-the nelson harness looks a lot better.
-PCM control on the fan on/off point is easier to control in my opinion.
-PCM activation points are probably more reliable.
-Not having to put a temperture probe through the radiator core.
-Did i mention it looks a helluva lot better?
Although afterwards i did realize a minor negative aspect. There really is only one speed for the fans, both motors running in series. Granted the 282's move a lot of air at half power and i've never run into any temperature problems. Of course if i need fullpower i'll just hit the AC button for that 757 Turbine sound

Using the 2-relay setup, boths fans are always in parallel mode (full speed).

Heh ok, maybe i should have been more clear with why i said what i said. The PCM can only directly control 1 relay. Which is why i stated both fans running in series. But then again if you reason out it being hot out, engine needs more cooling, you need more cooling too so the AC is on running both fans in parallel.

my vsc was always a problem. never liked it and gave it away to give another guy on the forums a headache(cant remember who i gave it to). i was always worried if the fans were working or not because they gave me so much trouble. got a nelson harness and my fans working properly is the last thing on my mind when i drive down the road now....now i just wory about if i have enough gas money to make it to point B

I also burned out the VSC and their fuse nearly caught my truck on fire. Replaced the vsc with a Delta Controls unit, and the fuse with one of those sugar-cube shaped ones with the tabs on the side that you can bolt the wires to. Works great.
