How much was the muffler? A shop here in town has just started selling them and I'd like to have a price to compare with.

 

Originally, the muffler was offered to me at $440 Cdn installed (say $300 US?). My jaw hit the floor since other FloPros had been offered to me for $140 Cdn (say $100 US). But then Grant from Capilano muffer phoned me back and offered it at $325 Cdn installed (say $225 US), which was probably pretty close to his cost, since it was a new product and he wanted to see how well it worked.

So if you can get one for $225-250, you will be doing quite well!

I paid $175 for the HD flowpro installed,I paid $140 for a similiar mangaflow install.

 

Hmmm - looks the muffler guy did not give it to me exactly at cost. Oh well a temporarily happy wife is worth a little.

As for my first bidder on the magnaflow, after asking for a 24 hour extension, I have not heard squat back, so that is that.

Big Tex - if you are still interested, Cool. If not, that is cool too. My Dealer suggested that I probably could get a credit from the muffler shop since they farmed me out to there in the first place, and the dealer shops most of their exhaust work to this place.
