Default Flowmaster 70 series resonator

I was at the L.A. Car show and saw a Flowmaster booth there and asked him what he has for a GM 6.0 that won't make my ears bleed. He said the 70 series is the muffler to use and a Flowmaster resonator on the left drivers side pipe before the muffler. He said that that will eliminate the resonance and droning.

I've dumped enough money into my truck and am not going to do any more upgrades, but for someone who's looking for an exhaust system set-up, maybe this will do the trick.

Good luck.

IMO for the price of the muffler plus the resonator, you could just buy a Hooker Aerochamber muffler and be done and spend less money.

I think im going to lose the bullet i have when i install my pacesetter LT's and off road y-pipe and pick up either a hooker aerochamber or a quiet muffler like a magnaflow and a cutout. Havent decided if it would be worth it to get the muffler and the cutout though cause for the price of the aerochamber, i could just get it and be done with it like Shawn said.

I also just picked up a 3"in/out single chamber flow with a turndown off a buddy of mine today for free. He had it on his truck for like 3,000 miles and decided it was too loud for him and put a 2 chamber in it and gave me the 1 chamber. Im tinkering with the idea of throwing it on the truck when i do the pacesetter install. I know i know, blowmasters suck but they sound good and i really dont think the single chamber is anywhere near as restrictive as the 2 chamber or any other flowmaster for that matter.

Just be ready for your ears to bleed at around 60mph Taylor!!! That 1-chamber I got from you, had horrible drone at 60mph!! It sounded good, but I was tired of the drone. I put the Hooker on and dumped it at the muffler and it sounds great w/ no drone at all and sounds Awesome at WOT.

Well the hooker is probably the one ill get. I wonder if it will still have no drone with the LT's and no cats? Ill probably just sell this 1 chamber and buy the hooker aerochamber and stick with it cause ive heard its the **** to have and its a decent price compared to alot of the other mufflers out there. If it is decently loud and it sounds mean, there is really no need to run a cutout. It would be a waste for me to get a quiet magnaflow muffler and a cutout cause it would be kinda shitty sounding with LT's, O/R Y-pipe and open cutout. There would be no tone at all. Just loud obnoxious noise. With it closed, it would be too quiet. Might as well get a nice sounding muffler that will be loud and mean with no drone and just run that.

The hooker aerochamber it is! Id like to hear a clip of one on a 5.3 with LT's and o/r y though. I bet it would sound mean as hell!

What you been up to anyways Shawn? Havent heard from ya in awhile. Ive been busy with work and getting my school **** together for this semester. Im about to go to my buddies shop in a minute so ill probably call you later tonight.
