Ford Racing 42lb Injectors for 5.3 Chevy
I thought I read somewhere we can use ford injectors in our motors? Do they have the same plug connection or do I have to modify something to make them work?

Yeah i think you have to modify them some....i could be wrong(I often am) but i do believe that they bolt right up to the 5.7 ls1's.

Two things ya gotta deal with...the connectors and the length of the SVO injectors is longer. Connectors are only $30 at Summit for all 8. You will have to cut the old connectors off and splice/solder the new ones on. Not a big deal, but still a chore. The other dealio is that you will need to make some spacers for the fuel rail to raise it above the intake manifold (about 1/4" IIRC) in order for the longer SVOs to fit. You will also need to bend the crossover tube a wee bit to get the angle right on all the injectors. It takes about 2-3 hours to do, but is by no means difficult. HTH.

The Fords (which I bought to put in my 6L) are rated at 42#'s on a Ford fuel rail at 43.5psi. On a Chevy fuel rail they flow about 49#'s. I got adapters coming that clip into my injector clip and convert to the Ford injector clip but I paid $80 for them. You don't have to solder. Looks like this:
