Found my high temperature problem
Well as some of you know I had been running kinda warm on the motor and trans here lately, and couldnt figure it out. thought maybe my thermostat was going bad, or the water pump was, so I replaced the water pump, last week, and lo and behold, it overheasts on me again today 250* by the crappy stock gauge. and my Autometer trans gauge was at 240*
well I get it to cool down, to do this I parked it , and then unhooked the electric fans, from the VSC to have them run all the time while the truck is off.
well after a brief period of letting the motor cool, I got in it and began to drive it. temps are now back down to 180* and the trans is at 150*.
and get this they stay there!
Even in stop and go traffic the motor and trans never got above 190* @ 98* outside.
So with this little observation. I have come to the conclusion, along with a few others, that the VSC from Flex-crap sucks the big one. I even had the 40Amp, one and it was letting my truck over heat!
so there, I am running the fans manually now, untill I get one of those harnesses to run the fans off the PCM.

Ya know ... now that I think about it .. mine was running a little warm when I was dragging the boat around a while back ... a LONG while back. I was thinking that I couldn't hardly hear the fans running. I know I need to do something about it now.
Good info there Thunder.

im in the same boat here too. according to my stock gauge. i usually run around 175 on the temps with 292s and a 160 stat. sometimes i notice it works fine, and others i notice it creeps up to aorund 210. it pisses me off cuz it didnt use to do that. i also found out that with the ignition on, and i turn my ac on, the fans no longer turn on like they did awhile back. im on my second controller thus far.
