The code is there for a reason, you have a problem with your IAC valve and/or wiring. Wouldn't hurt to change the plugs too, but I bet between the two of those it will fix your problem.

when you SeaFoam an engine . . . it never gets poured in . . .!

Get the engine hot . . . normal temp

Get a very small hose, 1/8" works great (fish tank tubing). Use electrical tape, and tape one end to the already disconnected brake booster line. The other end needs to have a smaller end on it. I usually use a Wd40 or Brake Cleaner red tube attachment, and then have that electrical taped to the other empty end of the tubing. Why? . . . so that it's sucked up as slow as possible.

When you're using it in the gas tank: . . . Pour in the Seafoam first, then put in 10-15gal of whatever gas you usually use. This will "blend" in the SeaFoam with the gas while it's running.

It's like making chocolate milk with out the spoon . . . put the mix in first, and then the filling up of the tank with gas "mixes" the tank.

Well, I hope to have it fixed in short order. The owner called me and is going to get it tomorrow. If I have to buy the idle control valve I will, just to make it right since I was supposed to make it "better" while I had it.

PO174/PO171 bank 1 and bank 2 are the codes the truck is pulling now...what could cause that?

I beleive those codes are from the trims hitting the max number. I bet if you hooked up a HPT or EFI Live they would show 25 across the board... I would double check all the connections and TB gasket... make sure you got the vent line hooked back up to the valve cover.

I checked everything and rechecked it again and again. Is it possible where the EGR goes into the manifold it isn't sealing all the way?

It wasn't the MAF and it wasn't the Seafoam. I guess when I pulled the EGR tube from the intake to trim it somehow it broke and wasn't allowing the EGR tube to sit flush against the intake manifold. So, I need the EGR tube going to the intake manifold ASAP if someone has removed their EGR please send it ASAP!!! Let me know I need it very quickly

OK, I am a complete dumbass. Today's lesson....do not play mechanic 1 day after having a tumor removed from your neck. The drugs are still there and affecting you. When I pulled the EGR tube I didn't see the O ring, yes the O ring that fell off and rolled away about 5 feet from where we were. When going over the "Free Mods" link BlackGMC linked it said, "Do not loose the O ring" Lights and sirens went off, I went outside and looked around where we were working and found said O ring. I installed everything fired up the truck and she idled just as pretty as you please. Kids, do play mechanic when on drugs!!
