I have a few in mind... but I was wondering if there were any that have already been tried?
So c'mon fellas... what have you done to your trucks and ow did it affect performance?

Re: Free truck mods?
i think if u dont plan on spraying it then taking the screen off will be fine as a free mod, im sure they same rules apply as with the fbodies, from what ive heard it raises ur timing a little doing that, which obviously isnt good on juice.

Actually my truck ran harder and with higher o2 readings once I descreened the MAF. Due to the 90* turn before the MAF the nitrous doesn't seem to read as accurate with the screen on.

Re: Free truck mods?
Descreen the MAF if you want to buy a MAFT. The MAF sensor reads the amount of air going through the MAF. By descreening it, you change the characteristics of the airflow and this can throw off the readings. By doing this you are sneaking air past the MAF and the PCM doesn't adjust the air fuel mix to compensate. I removed mine. I am running too lean right now. Autotap shows an average of +10 on my LTrims. The MAF is very large as it is, and the actual power gained from this mod isn't worth the effort. The part is the same used on the LS6, so it should flow more than your truck needs with the screen on.
I may be dead wrong. Surely someone can prove me right or wrong on this.
