you'll need an HEI vacuum advance distributor, a low pressure inline fuel pump, a 4bbl intake, a carb, a stand alone electronic transmission controller, and a little bit of luck to get it all to work right....

 

no just tierd of messin with injection when i am used to carbs pluss easier to hook up procharger thanks for the info do i need anything as far as fuel pump is concerned

 

The factory pump is in the tank and is a pull-through design so you can just leave it in place and either get a fuel pressure regulator to knock pressure down to the 5-7psi a carb requires or you can kill power to the factory pump and install an in-line low pressure fuel pump in it's place

I can give you a fantastic alternative to the carb'd setup if your willing to listen....It's the setup I ran in a '95 Silverado that put almost 300hp to the ground and will probably end up costing you about the same as a swapping over to a carb

 

I just did the same swap you are talking about. I swapped from a TBI to a carbed 383. I left the in tank pump alone and used a mallory regulator. Put a hollie 770 street avenger on (had to do some rejetting and power valve swap). I had a 5 speed in the truck but I swapped it for a 700r4 (that came factory in the 1991 so it was easy) I am running a tv cable instead of a computer controller but I know you can buy the stand alone controller. I have had really good luck with mine so far.

 

With a '92 in his sig....he doesn't need the electronic controller b/c in '93, GM offered the 4L60E in the trucks. He has a 700R4 but you will need a lockup kit for your torque converter.

 

I am using a painles kit and it works great. it locks and unlocks all by itself

 

TBI fuel pressure is only 15 psi, so you only need to put a regulator in line from your stock pump to drop it to 5-7 psi for the carb.
