Default Fuel Injection VS Carburetor

i dont plan on going carbureted or anything but some big headed carbureted guys on a local board keep on sayin carbureted is better than any fuel injection at WOT, ive yet to see any facts..just wondering if any one on here have seen gains or losses with links to prove to carbureted vs fuel injection on LSX motors

I am currently a carb guy. I do believe Fi is the way to go but for the budget build I did for this truck it was WAY cheaper. I think that is a carbs greatest benifeit much better on the pocket book. You need to define the argument better. Yes a dominator can feed more fuel on the big end than most FI setups but a dominator sucks on the street. It is not exactly friendly to tune either it is made for wide *** open and stop. I will see if I can find you some data that backs up your argument. I would start by asking them why john force dosent have a holley any more???

and ask them why NHRA has kept warren johnson from using the fuel injection he's designed...because he would dominated the carbed guys

EFI mountain motors will produce about 20 hp less but they will go down the track faster than their carbed counterparts. Pat Musi, The Jegs boys, and a few others are dominating with their efi setups.

I would have to say fuel injection is better,my 78 is carbed and if i had the money id make it fuel injected. Its much more precise, responsive, reliable,and uses less gass the list goes on and on!
