Default Fuel problems on 91 350 tbi???

Truck is a 91 silverado with the 350 tbi. It's not getting any fuel at all. We pulled the line at the fuel filter and while trying to start there is no fuel flowing.

Does anybody have a wiring diagram for the fuel system? How would I go about checking the fuel pump relay located on the pass. firewall? It has 5 wires going to it.

I'm thinking it is probably the pump but I just want to make sure before I go pulling the bed and changing something that doesn't need changing. Thanks alot.

Steve

One way to check is to listen at the fuel pump to see if its wining at all when you turn the key on. Did you check the fuse?

fuse is good and there is no wining that I can hear. Like I said above we removed the fuel line at the fuel filter and there is no fuel flowing when you turn the motor over.

Just checking, if you reach under the tank you should see the wires going to the pump, one is for the fuel level sender, the other is to the pump, I dont know about the sending unit but the pump should be getting 12vdc, if that is good, pull the bed off and change the pump, I did one on my s10 this past weekend and I started off trying to drop the tank and gave up, and found out the bed was much easier to pull.

Get underneath the truck and put your ear up to teh tank while someone just turns the ignition on(don't start it), if you don't hear a humming sound or buzzing sound, you pump is bad and its time to replace it.
