Yeah, you might be able to. That part number is for the regulator kit with all the little guts and orings. Might as well replace them while your at it though.

Thanks guys...I DID know where it was, it just wanted to make sure that thing WAS what I thought it was...

if it's not the regulator might it be the IAC valve sticking or locking closed ???

and...any thoughts on the the poltergeist in my lights ???

I think when I bought that regulator kit there was another part number for just the regulator but, I don't remember. I just looked and the only extra things that come with the kit are two orings(one small, one big), a plastic spacer ring?, a small filter, retainer clip, and c-clip. The actual regulator looks to be sealed and if the rest of the parts that come in the kit look good on your truck it might be ok to just replace the actual regulator.

I'll get some pics of the whole little setup tomorrow afternoon.

The lights on my Camaro flicker but, that is because of the air pump going off a few minutes after startup.

How often do they flicker? Does it happen alot when you hit bumps/dips or just whenever? Could be a bad ground wire I guess.

the light "flicker" just happens whenever it feels like it...but only when in motion, I haven't been able to duplicate it when at rest

I've also got one more interesting issue for you guys too.....sometimes (but not always) when in motion below 30mph I hear a "whee whee whee whee" sound that comes from what sound like the heater box under the dash (probably sound conducted from under the hood) it happens whether the HVAC fan is on or off, but it NEVER happens when the vehicle is NOT in motion (ie: idling in Park or at a stoplight)....if it is happening and I stop the sound will immediatly stop as well, it also changes speed and pitch with vehicle speed (not engine rpm)......I have checked the brakes and the drive arms for wear or foreign objects and have found nothing, remember now...this is NOT a constant thing, I will go days without hearing it and then all of a sudden it will start when I am slowing down to stop at a light or backing out of my driveway or something like that

This one is more of a curiosity to me than a problem.....anyone experience this and WHAT was it if you figured it out ???

i'd look for a bad ground on your lights. there should be two of them as far as i know, one on each side of the core support. either that or the headlight switch.

as far as your idle issues, it sounds like a temperature issue. do you notice it when the temperature is different? do you have a scan tool? i would contact the people that did your "custom tune" for you.

Don't loose that clip either, you will play hell hunting one down. There is a part number for the little clip, but good luck finding it. I called about 7 dealers in a 50 mile radius and only one of them could find it.

I would for sure replace that small O-ring while you got it out, it prolly wouldn't be a bad idea anyways. It caused me all kinds of problems before. The only place I could find one was at a hydraulic supply shop and they just gave it to me.

DId you check the wheel bearings?
