Default FYI:ECMB Fuse Blowing from Fuel Pump

FYI: Have 2000 Silverado 1500 with 5.3 liter that blew ECMB fuse. Truck died while driving said check oil pressure, low fuel, and did not show which gear was selected. Was towed in found blown ECMB fuse and VSS error. Then ran for two days blew fuse again no errors, would crank and die then ran again that afternoon. Decided to start replacing fuel pump, turned out it had one motor wire that had melted its insulation and had rubbed into a sensor wire and was shorting out. Replaced relay and fuel filter while at it and it has run for a day now no trouble.
