Default gasket set???

Ok so I got a 6.0 core from work... I was wondering if anyone knew where I could get a rebuild kit. I was looking for a crank kit, no luck; a gasket "set" for all the covers and seals, no luck; and I was looking for a rebuild kit, new crank bearings and seals.... I have found nothing.... I know I can get a forged rotating kit but all i want is a stock, CHEAP rebuild.... Any help will be greatly appreciated, and I hope this is the right place for this... forgive me if its not...

Thanks
Brian

They do not sell gasket kits for the ls1 because most of the gaskets are reusable. You will need new head gaskets. Best thing to do is shop around and see who has the best prices on bearings and head gaskets.

SDPC is a sponsor and has most/all the gaskets you need. Look for the head/cam replacement kits, they have everything short of oil pan and rear main for about $250 ( includes all the head and pulley TTY bolts! ).They also might have the bearings else check the Cleavite website as they make main and rod products ( HC77 series ) for the GenIII platform. One suggestion is to look at the 5.7L LS1 or LS6 Camaro/Corvette sections and not 6.0L specifically. The crank, rods, and mains are identical on all GenIII motors except the 4.8L ( different stroke ).
A great cheap "rebuild" crank kit could come from someone who did a stroker assembly. The bottom ends are very sturdy and you should be able to find plenty of used parts here and/or on eBay. Biggest expense will be shipping, those assemblies run close to 100# or so.
Good luck and happy hunting. GM SDPC------->
