Default Gen 3 5.3 build help / want others advice

I’ve got a gen 3 5.3, when I bought the truck it already had a stage 4 Btr truck cam, Btr springs, push rods, Btr tru union upgrade, and high vol oil pump. I blew the trans so I’m thinking of doing some motor work so that I can have the new trans tuned at the same time (to save some cash on tunes) this is what I’m thinking.

tbss intake
90mm ls3 throttle body
50lb injectors
and walbro 255
(and on the trans it’s getting the basic work with upgraded packs, corvette servo, and shift kit)
I’m thinking of grabbing a circle d 2800-3200 stall
And tuned on 93

with all that in mind, is the fuel pump big enough, does it need gears, is it a waste if I’m not porting my heads (862s), will the 99-02 walbro 255 work on my truck an 04, any and all input will be grateful (ik the injectors and body will need adapters)

You didn't mention what gears it currently has. But with a cam that big it definitely needs a stall

Definitely get the converter. The intake will help above 4500 RPM. I'm the wrong person to ask about gears - I will ALWAYS say to add gear. The fuel pump - I looked up just the pump, not the entire module and it listed the same part number for a 2002 as a 2004. A 255lph on 93 pump should be plenty to feed your 5.3L

the dash was pulled from another truck (v6) but I’m gonna assume it’s 373, it’s a 4wd with tow package

What do you mean by this? Are you going to use a 99-02 fuel pump assembly that has a Walbro 255 inside it? A stock fuel pump will be fine for this application.

summit has a drop in unit for 99-02 trucks, those trucks have a return fuel system, mine an 04 is a return less system so I wasn’t sure if it would work or not (also the bigger pump is some future proofing)

No the tank and pump are different.

One single 255 isn't a whole lot of future proofing.

are they not a decent sized pump? Most engine stuff I have a decent understanding of but the other parts are iffy. Should I got another route, eventually down the road in wanting a boosted 5.3 in the truck so that I can daily it without such a high stall is the pump not gonna be big enough for that?

The stock pump is fine for what you want to do now. In the future just buy the pump that you need.

What does boost have to do with not needing a high torque converter? You are still going to want that torque converter.
