Default Getting a new HD!!!

As I've mentioned, my husband and I have been shopping for a new heavy duty truck. He works at a Chevy dealership and gets great deals on Chevy vehicles. We really wanted a Duramax/Allison but even with his discounts, it was financially unfeasible for right now. Fearing that these fabulous incentives/interest rates would soon be gone, we went ahead and started looking at 6.0L/A4 trucks. Lo and behold, with his discount and what they're willing to give us for our trade, we can buy a 2003 and hardly change our monthly payment (we have a 2002 Sierra SLT 1500 ex cab 2WD right now). So we've located 3 trucks that are what we want... 6.0/A4 crew cab 2WD short bed in dark grey with 4.10s and locking differential. As soon as the sales manager figures out which one he can trade for, the deal is done.

We're REALLY excited!! We're going to have our open trailer painted to match the truck, so we'll have a dark grey truck, matching trailer, and the silver SS sitting behind it... can you say a sweet looking setup rolling into Baton Rouge next weekend?

By the way, we will have all of our lowering stuff for the Sierra for sale next week. All Belltech... front springs and shocks, rear shackles and leaf spring drops. Once we decide what to ask for it, I'll post it in the classified section, or you can e-mail me with offers on it. Thanks

ROFL! Have you noticed how we seem to trade vehicles at the same time? You bought your black '98 T/A back in the day in the fall of '97, and I had a silver one by January '98. You bought your Lightning in late '00, and I bought one the summer of '01. You bought your sunset orange '02 T/A last June, and I bought my sunset orange SS in August. Now I bought an HD, and you and John are buying one! Wow, great minds think alike. It just so happens that my trailer matches my truck, too. LOL

You're going to LOVE how well it pulls, especially with the 4.10's! I put a set of wheels on with a 265/75/16 Goodyear, so that killed ~75-100 RPM cruising down the highway. FYI, I got 12.5 MPG pulling my SS with a 2,000# 18' dovetail @ 70 MPH. It's only about 1 MPG off of what I got in my 5.3L Sierra.

Congrats to you and John on the purchase! We're going to have to take some pics with both HD's and both SS's in Louisiana.
