Default Getting ready to take the plunge.

Hi all. Been lurking in the forums for quite a while now. Now that my tax check is in the way, I've finally decided to throw a cam in my truck. First of all, the truck is a 2007 NNBS CcSb with the 5.3. Lc9 motor bout to roll 150k on the clock. Previous owner had an afm lifter fail shortly before I bought the truck and he fixed that. I'm wanting to delete the afm, vvt, put a cam in, do stall and Lts while its apart. The cam I'm looking at is 595/595 lift, 224/240 duration, 111 lsa. Still pretty new to ls motors so any guidance on the cam specs would be appreciated. Wanna run a 3000 stall with this cam as well. It's a newly released lunati and so far I haven't seen much info on anyone running it. Any help is greatly appreciated guys!

Thanks, Alex.

For a stock stall, keep the duration under 224 for intake and exhaust.

agree...thats a big ole truck with a small motor.... and i would definitely not go with anything over a 224 at the most... its gonna be a turd unless you put some low *** gears in it and a big converter.

Thankfully I have a precision vigilante 3200 stall to put in it. Ended up with the btr stage 4 cam simply because they were out of the stage 3 at the time I ordered. I'm still waiting on some of my parts to arrive but getting anxious to get this thing done.

None as of now. I have most of my components here. I'm still waiting on getting a vvt delete and my headers and y pipe then I should be pretty much ready to get the install started. I'm getting very anxious/ nervous as this is gonna be my first lsx based build.
