Default Getting rid of air injection for new headers?

I ordered some new headers today and need to know if I can get rid of air injection b/c truck has it and the headers dont except it.

You should be able to get rid of it. It's used only for emissions reasons.

you can disable it but i doubt you will pass smog unless your truck is really clean because the air injection is to lower HCs and COs
