Well I have to admit, thats not really what I wanted to hear.
But I guess if thats what I have to do then so be it. Just hoped that my problem wouldnt exceed $300.00. Thats cool though!

I just found out tonight (tech course) that GM has a reflash available to slowly apply the A/c compressor (instead of either on or off instantly). apperently when they apply too fast they max the tensioner and it allows the belt to fly off. might want to check into it before replacing the compressor
