The sound was raspy, and the system resonated horribly between 1600 and 2200 RPM's. I can't speak to the power because I didn't dyno it after, but the SOTP meter said no difference. I couldn't get it off fast enough.

Ok before mods and tune, then soon after...boom fell apart. Sounded like one of the baffles inside had come loose, went Dynomax soon after and picked up 3 tenths w/ good weather next time out at the track, only thing changed on the truck was the muffler. See sig on how I really feel...Zed

Look at signature. I have had them on for a year. Heads turn eveytime I fire it up in a parking lot or even drive by. The resonation went away when I installed the headers

I had one on my last truck (95 305) and so did my brother (97 350). They were the same setup as yours. His rusted off after three years, but mine lasted at least until I sold it. As for power, I could tell no difference, but I thought it at least sounded good. I always thought my brothers was too raspy.

I really like my Magnaflow, and they make a dual out the back with a smaller muffler so it would be louder than mine.

I like my Gibson. It's pretty quiet in the cab but makes some pretty good sounding noise out back. You don't hear it at idle but it gets noisy when you run the revs up.

i have the gibson extrem duels on my 03 SS and it can get a little loud in the cab, but on there web site it stated a db increase over stock so i knew before hand it was going to be louder. but it dose not bouther me, deaf in one ear and can't hear in the outher sounds nice at idle and will bark good at wot, and at cruse at 75-80 it REAL nice i can get the cops to turn there heads and look when there ticking some one in the highway...
i'm waiting on a set of togs to come in and see how it sounds and if it gets to bad i'll put a couple of resenators in to take some of bite out of it. but what sounds good to me may sound like s**t to someone else...

good luck

I had the side exit and hated it. I heard the sound of no exhaust at all and jsut left it that way and sold the gibson.

My Gibson single side exit on a 1997 ECSB Z71 5.7, drove me crazy in town and at cruise. But I like my quiet ride. It lost low end bad and gas milage dropped horribly. But in the upper rpm's she ran better. I dropped it and sold it to a friend for a loss.

99Silver5.3. I think maybe you need to check your ears? Unless you mean you could not hear it in the cab? The non-resonation in the cab is allot of the technology one pays for in a Corsa and with a straight through design you cannot doubt the flow improvement.
I have a Corsa. I can hear it pretty good.
