I installed the Hotcam in my bro's 4.8L RCSB truck and it pulls really hard from a 30mph roll. Ran a friends full bolt-on/tune RCSB 5.3 and pulled like 2.5 trucks which is better than last time when he took me like 2 trucks before the cam. Pretty good cam for the money, but the truck really needs a stall and gears cuz the power down low sucks.....granted its still a 4.8L I know its got more in it.

4.8 + Hotcam + 3.42's = Crappy bottom end power but crazy top end pull

Lucky77- Where you from, saw a truck the other day that looked exactly like yours down here in Mission, Tx?

I got it in my RCSB 5.3 and I'm still in the process of working with Charlie to get the tune nailed down (mail order is tough). The couple times I've gave it hard though it pulls like crazy after about 2900-3000. I need to get a stall alos because +1 on the bad low end power!

Pewter53, would you mind Pm'ing the airflow numbers on startup...that's where were having troubles.

My tuner took about an hour trying to get the truck to idle/start on its own using the airflow tables. He adjusted some setting on the VE tables and it seemed to work out very well now. Im not sure what else was done but the truck still wants to die when I stop and when I reverse, and don't forget the brakes suck after the cam swap. The truck really needs a converter.

Well it is kind to the valvetrains as it doesn't have agressive lobes and the lift is low
