I have the TT3000, Transgo HD2 kit, the billet servos, and the accumulator pistons. 2 shops quoted me around 550.
I Just wanted to know if any of you houston members had found a good transmission shop that doesnt charge too much.

Also i have a camshaft, springs and retainers that needs to be installed and was wondering if someone with average mechanic knowledge could do it. if any of you houston guys know a good mechanic for that or wanted to help me out with the cam install i would really appreciate it.

$550 doesn't sound too bad to install all the parts you listed. I'd ask v8 or 02Denali if they know someone around the Houston area. Kevin told me of once place but the name slips my mind.

another vote for century automotive. cams are easy to do.

 

I would give joe a call at Jag performance in san antonio. He does very good work. I live in kansas and i would drive down to san antonio and have joe do the work on my tranny before i would let anyone else work on my tranny.

550 is a decent price for all that stuff, but out of all the places I called about my transgo + eaton posi install, Century seemed the most knowledgeable by far. Prices were a little steep and theyre about 2 hours from me, so i went to a closer shop, but If I were in Houston or even within an hour of them, I'd go there - just from reviews I've heard on here and the way the guy talked on the phone.

btw I went to D&K near the Woodlands (on 242) and paid 150 for Transgo install and they put the acc. pistons in for free (I hope ) - 185 for posi swap

 

how much do u think Joe would charge for a stall, servos, and transgo.
