there is not a stock motor around that is going to live up to either power adder for a long time. The way I see it, its all in the tune.

thats perfectly right.. no motor will hold together for a long enterval..if your tuning is off a lightest bit it can be harmfull..im an expeirenced tuner as i tune gm and ford cars at a dyno shop and i run 91 mixed with 111 octane leaded racing gas..in my truck

I think I would get a tune, modifiy your intake by taking the piece that connects the box to the fender. That will double your air intake. Also, take out the screen on the mass air flow sensor. Both of those things don't cost a dime and make a real difference.

Next put on a true dual setup with an h or X pipe in there. Mandrel bent if you can afford it. Don't go to big, because you will loose some bottom end.

The biggest difference is lower gears!!! With those big meats on there, you will need some 5.56's, or 4.56's. That will help you more than any other thing you can do bar none. And it is way cheaper than a blower. A S-charger will give you more grunt, but it comes at a huge price. gears are much cheaper, and it will give that little engine a chance to get going.

I would avoid taking the screen out, it's causes more headaches than it's worth..
and there isnt any "real" performance gains to warrant taking it out..

some guys get lucky, and it doesnt cause any problems, and then some do..
I removed mine, didnt notice a lick of diffrence, and was lucky enough to be able to put it back in.
