is it a constant noise now? Since there where noticable metal shavings on the dipstick i would say its most likely a bearing or a piston

There were no 'shavings' on the dipstick. It was metal powder/residue like what is on the magnet when you change the oil. If there were actuall shavings or flakes I would know something is wrong.
Update: I took it for a spin around town last night and could not get it to start tapping for anything. No noises out of the ordinary, just my 'sewing maching' valvetrain noise which I am OK with. I did get some CD2 and put in there and will drive it some tonight then change the oil tomorrow. I will be looking thru the oil for anything abnormal and also cutting my oil filter open to check it out. I am really starting to think I just had some trash left in my heads from the work I did on them or some trash got in during the install and had a some lifter plungers stopped up that has finally been flushed out. That is what I am hoping for anyway. BTW.. the truck felt really good last night while I was riding around.

That's also very possible. So besides that experience is everything working properly now. I'd like to see some times. I know you'll be eating my *** for the shootout.

Yea, everything seems to be running well now. Actually I think we should be pretty close since we will have very similar mods. I guess we shall see.
