Do not reuse GM head bolts. They are one time use.
The above comment says if they have been tq too much or stretched, ummm they are TTY bolts so if you install them you stretch them... So I guess in a not so round about way that person is saying they are one time use..

Also who is asking if you have the 5.3 LS or Vortec? Seriously?

Unless ARP changed something they are reusable. Stock's are not. I dont have the Tq spec's handy but I do have them in my garage. Ill try to remember to post them up.

everything looks great . . . but the 7.425s are going to be too long of a push rod. You'll need 7.4s.

Ballancer crank bolt ?

the LS1 timing chain is just like what you have now. No sense in swapping it out for the same thing.

If you do decide to swap out the timing chain or the timing chain dampener, (wedge block) . . . then the oil pump has to come off. Use the red O-Ring when putting it back together. If you use any other o-rings, you have the likely hood of having low to no oil pressure on startup.

This is exactly what I was thinking. The LS7 lifters are a bit taller. I'm running 243 heads milled .030 with LS7 lifters. I had to run 7.375 pushrods.

the pushrods are specd by Patrick G, i was going to get 7.4s but he said 7.425

Recommended pushrod length: 7.425” chrome moly with stock rockers, lifters.
Recommended valve springs: PAC 1518 beehive or TEA .660" duals.
Static/Dynamic compression with new cam: 10.0:1 SCR, 8.19:1 DCR.
Ballancer crank bolt ?
yes

dmelvin
your heads are MILLED, i have stock heads + the preload will take a .025 of the length

Did you ordered 2 water pump gaskets?
Balancer install tool? Or making your own tool?
