I also have to say, there are different "grits" of compounds that can be used, i have seen some pretty aggressive compound make a valve seal enough to get a guy going again in a bad situation.

But i have only done minor stuff just to check a head before bolting it on.

So looks like you had a ceramic coating applied to the port, correct? Looks really nice, did you happen to have the shop apply the ceramic coating to the combustion chamber and valve faces? I'll be watching this to see how it turns out.

Its not ceramic coated, its from sand blasting the ports

Brand new or not, I'd check the seal on the valves with dye no matter what...for the time it takes to do it on the bench it's worth it to make sure that the valves are all sealing correctly, but that's just me, I'm a little cautious.

*EDIT* Almost forgot, looks good Tyler...did you get any meat taken off of the ports or did they just clean them up?

Thanks man. They are just cleaned up, no meet taken off. If I have meet taken off, I will have them CNCd. Im going to spray some carb cleaner or something light down the ports to make sure they seal.

I'm guessing that you're going to have more than 500 hp though
