Default Got my baseline

Finally got the truck to the local 1/8th mile track. Bone stock 01 5.3 RCSB stepside with 116k miles, and 3.42 gears. First pass went 10.007@70.5 (DA corrected to 9.63@70.92)(greer) with 2.333 60'. 2nd and 3rd passes were 10.15 and 10.19 with 2.46 60'. 1st pass i stabbed the throttle and it did great, no spin, next 2 passes i stalled it up a little and it spun both times. trucks suppose to have a g80, but it's worn out so it only spins one.
So what would ya'll do next? this isn't my first rodeo with these trucks, i had an 02 4.8 5-speed back in the day that was full bolt on minus under drive pulleys. I plan on doing the same stuff to this truck i did to it.
Servo
Electric fans
CAI
Catback/Muffler replacement turndowns
Tune
Headers
4.56 gears w/trutrack

I kinda want to do everything at once, but then again i kinda want to do one at a time and see what difference it makes in the truck. And again if i want to do it all at once im gonna have to save a good bit more, there's about $1500 just in parts. Only thing i can't do is the gear install b/c of lack of tools.
So would ya'll wait and do it all at once, or a part at a time? And in what order? I've already got the servo, and i think i should prob do electric fans next so that when it comes time to do the intake i'll have a few more options because then i won't have to cut the shroud to make any of them fit. Or i could go with a tune first, got a local guy that's gonna street tune it and gives free updates as long as the setup isn't getting change too much between tunes. I'm also wanting to see how much better MPG the mods will give me, given i can keep my foot out of it.
The 3.42's with 32 inch tire do great on highway, run 75mph at about 2k rpms, but around town they kill mileage bc it seems the truck has to work so much harder to get up to speed. I'm definetly going to go with 4.56's as well because this truck WILL get a 6-speed swap. Automatics are fine and all, but i'm a manual guy, notice car in sig.
Sorry for the long post, but just want some opinions on if i should do all mods at once, or 1 at a time, and it what order ya'll would do them in. Also if anybody wants to throw out some track times guesstimates with the mods as well.

EDIT: Instead of posting in this thread every time i run to keep up with my times, i'll just start adding to my first post
9.967@71 (da corrected 9.54@72.72)(ware shoals) june '12 added servo, no locker, no spin, no tail gate
10.00@73.7 (da corrected 9.87@72.32) (greer) March '13 added ebay intake and dynomax muffler replacement, 20's, no locker, eased out of hole to not spin, lowered with soft bed cover put on
9.992@72.6 (da corrected 9.63@72.98) (greer) April '13 added efans and ported tb, no locker eased out of hole, MPG went up by 2.
9.75@74.4 (da corrected 9.40@74.89) (greer) May '13, BB mail order tune, home-made long bars, no locker eased out of hole, MPG slightly increased, but was pretty rough on truck this tank of gas.
9.63@74.18 (da corrected 9.28@74.68) (greer) May 30 '13, added detroit truTrac, stalled to about 1K rpm, very lil' spinning.
9.49@76.70 (da corrected 9.20@76.73) (ware shoals) June 21 '13, added hooker 2851 with ORY 16786. Stalled up with a little spinning.
9.39@77.18 (da corrected 9.00@77.16) (Greer) July 9 '13, added 26" MT ET street radials, and 26" front tires on stock 16's. Stalled a little, no spin.
9.51@75.16 (da corrected 9.18@75.54) (Greer) August 22nd '13, added 4.10 gears. 20's, FULL tank of gas and eased out of hole to keep from spinning, 60' still not good at 2.2 on street tires. Gas mileage seems to have slightly dropped.

the 4.56 gears will kill ecomeny with the auto trans. The t56 shouldnt be as bad. Take the g80 out for a trutrac or similar, efans will help, lt headers and exhaust. any plans of FI or spray?

You think the 4.56 are gonna hurt even my city mileage? i don't really care about hwy as i never drive the truck on long trips, it's just a spare vehicle at the moment. But i may throw some spray on it in the future.

I don't think the 4.56s should hurt your city mileage as long as you drive reasonably, as it should just allow you to shift to the next gear, cancelling out the lower rear gear.

My truck has a display that shows instant mpg and overall mpg. Before the gears I would see about 24 mpg @ 45 mph instant and get 14-15 overall. after the gears I lost about 1-2 mpg city and went from 17 to 15 mpg hwy. My truck has 32.6" tires.

Forget the little bolt ones,, just get a turbo and throw it on

Throw the gears in and get a tune.. that should wake it up quite a bit if it will hook.

Andy, was there some enjoyment going on with your mileage loss or were you still able to granny-foot it a little bit? Self-control enhances mileage more than most mods ever will

On a serious note, an mpg or two isn't too bad when accompanied by a serious improvement in acceleration

I like to drive my truck lol. I may be able to get another mpg or 2, but its not that big of a deal for me.

Yeah I average 15mpg for the tank if I take it really easy, 14 if I drive normal, and 12.5-13 if I get on it hard a few times a week. It's sure hard to exercise self-control in a truck with some decent power I was just curious whether some of that city mpg loss was more due to the driver enjoying the newfound torque than from actual rpm increase around town.
