Default Got my exhaust installed today

Went to a local shop and I was looking at either a magnaflow or a dynomax, they only had the bullett type dynomax. Both guys at the shop said the magnaflow would sound better and since they were both the same price I went for the magnaflow with a turndown.

Honestly thought it would be a little louder. Its kinda a straight through but it curves some.

Power is better I can tell already, I spun the tires half way down the street earlier.

Only thing Im wondering about is how the guy did the dump. It goes out about a foot from the muffler then turns down. My friend said thats why its not very loud.....true?

Less drone maybe?
Congrads on the new exhaust.

What? Less drone with the longer turndown? Most of my friends with trucks are running straight pipe. I love how it sounds but want performance more than anything.

The muffler will get louder over time. Couple that exhaust with some nice long tubes and you will have a nice sound!

Just an FYI, full mandrel bent cat-back systems only yield 3-4 rwhp at its best... and just a muffler probably 2-3 MAYBE. If you want performance, get a set of LT's and true duals, or an ORY next.

I dumped mine before the rear axle - I'd rather people wonder where the exhaust is than see it clearly poking out the back. Adds to the element of surprise. That's my reasoning anyway.

When I had my magnaflow with stock exhaust dumped it was quiet to me also. Then I put the LT's and ORY on and it made the magnaflow scream!!

I had them going out the back bumper with tips and I like it, I put a rollpan on so I got them dumped right after the read end, was going to put the tips back on after the pan, Now I like them dumped I added a down pipe and it sounds good and you can't see no pipe(s)
