Default Got some prices on superchargers.

Went to the local speed shop in Springfield and got some prices on superchargers.
The ATI intercooled basic system is $3398.0
Upgrade to the D1-SC $325
New Fuel injectors $400
Predator Custom Programming $350

Total of $4473.00
Sales tax 7% $315.00

$4788.00

Finance for 90 same as cash for 3 yrs is 24%

The payment would be 160 a month. I can afford it but I am going to a bank to see if I can get a better interest rate than that!

I like the ATI system but I can't afford a SC at this time. Probably when I can, that system will be out-of-date.

the centrifugal has been out of date a long time now, doesn't mean it isn't a good design though

Dont get into debt over a supercharger. What will you do when the tranny dies??? Ive always had nice things, but I waited. I have very little debt and its the only way to really enjoy things. $160 a month for 3 years for a blower is absurd. Its your choice, I would rethink it however. Save a couple hundred a month. By then something better will be out... as in my case with the new turbo systems.

I agree, I would not go into debt. Unless you are buying a home or a vehicle, I would not go into debt.

How do you figure that the centrifugal is already outdated? what has replaced it? The roots style have been around a long time and were outdated and just recently are making a comeback by design improvements, and the ease of packaging luring some people. The same with turbo's they have been around longer than the centrifugal, and people had just lost interest, just like with all fad's, and although dollar for dollar, and hp for hp, tq to tq the Turbo is a better power adder, just more complicated than the self contained centrifugal available nowadays.

I was just saying it's nothing new, but still a very viable source of forced induction, letting him know that it will be a good choice today and tomorrow

hp for hp and tq for tq at certain rpms yes, not all.

just an fyi, the centrifugal S/C predates the Turbo by almost 20 years.

I know it isn't a good idea, but I never have been late on any payments for anything. Unfortuntally, my parents cosigned on both vechiles I owned and I have very little credit. I am 21 and think it is important to establish credit. I can very easily afford the payments of the supercharger and I need the credit.
