Gotta pull driver side head, couple questions
#12
had the same problem on my truck man. My truck has a 3" body lift so i removed the inner fender well and tried to get to it. I managed to drill a decent hole and inserted the easy out, tried to remove it and broke the easy out in it and then it was all down hill from there lol. I ended up removing the head and theres no chance in hell drilling out an easy out. So i purchased a set of used heads and replaced both. it was a LONG expensive fix. the used heads set me back 200$ which aint bad except i just spent 500$ on headers and then you have to buy new head bolts and gaskets which was another 200$ or more i cant remember exactly so it sucked pretty bad. BUT i got a shiny set of headers now and no leak lol. If you end up removing the heads or head get a CHILTON manual to get your torque numbers and the tightening pattern of the head bolts

I had the same bolt break. I use a mig and built up the bolt till it was sticking out pass the head. Then I welded the nut on. I had to pull the tire, inner fender & heat shield! I Was trying at first just to weld the nut to the bolt & the weld wouldn't hold. Then I tried building up the bolt & that worked first try. I did let it cool before I tried everytime. Took like 5 hours.
