Default Granatelli MAF???

Is Granatelli MAF worth it on my truck here in the south. The money is not an issue, I'm curious if anybody has had any gains or loses due to it. INFO would be great...

Y2K Silverado has one, seems to work great for him. Jim's is also calibrated with the CAI so it has a bit more timing built into it. Obviously he'd be better to answer questions on it than me.

You will get a debate wether or not the stock MAF is okay or not. Just don't descreen the stock MAF, it will make your computer go crazy after a while. I see no problem in a high flow meter if it is correct for your application.

i would spend the money else where. The ones we got are pretty good. buy you a servo and a transgo kit for the money and you will enjoy that more

I've got one, it's the cold air version with supposidly more aggressive tuning. I've put the stock one back on about 3x's and the GMS-C maf lowers my 0-60 by .2 seconds. Others haven't had as good as results. I've never dynoed my truck or tested the GMS at the track verses the stock maf but I think it's worth it. If you decide to get one, I got mine new off of E-bay for about $260 verses the $340 the online part stores want for them. I've also heard a ZO6 Vette maf will work and produce the same results for less money, not sure though.

I am glad someone else is endorsing the TransGo other than me! Yes a good shift kit and servo will really wake up your shifting, make it far better.

You really should consider a stall converter of some sort. A 2400 rpm is a nice inexpensive increase in dead stop performance...more stuff to consider.

I've had about the same results as Y2kSilverado with mine. I also bought mine on ebay as a kit with a granatelli cold air intake. I think I paid around $400 for them together both new in the box. If it were going to be my only mod I'd say no but they really help when added to other mods like aftermarket intakes and exhaust systems.
