With the 4.060" bore of the 427, can that be rebuilt and overbored? I would rather have something that could be bored over a little more in case **** happens.

So this guy said "We" will cover the engine/tranny warranty. Who's "We"? Not trying to be an ***, but last time this happened we never heard from the guy.

He also said the stealership will cover the rest of the warranty. Cool so when I contiually blow my factory G80 they'll keep replacing it. When you put a 427 into anything, you'd better upgrade everything. Don't cut corners if you're going to warranty it.

Guys I am still around. Like I said before this is just an idea that we are throwing around. "We" is Dragon Race Engineering. Our shop is located in Broomfield, Colorado. If this is a go it will not be a half assed project. Everything that needs to be upgraded will be. I ran this idea by the general manager at a local dealership. He wants me to stop by today and tell him more about the project. He may or may not be a go. It sure looks and sounds good on paper tho. If the dealership ends up not going along with it then we can still do the conversion. By law GM still has to cover everything but the modified parts or damage CAUSED by the aftermarket upgrades. But I am sure we all know how that goes. Kaley

Good to see you're still around. Give 'em hell! I would love to see this happen, also you might want to consider an AWD version for traction sake. Leave it NA for us who want to go the FI route later.

If this guy at the dealer isn't going for it, just show him this website. There's enough interest in GM trucks...trust me. With the lightning gone....you have to strike while the iron is hot!

I looked into doing an AWD version. I would rather see that then using a 2wd but the cost would be insane. My first thought was to do this in a Extended cab SS but they are around 40k brand new. So that would put this truck at around 65k.

We are going to keep the compression kinda low for FI applications. I would love to see a turbo'd 427 truck. Maybe we will see some one offs come through our shop. The more intrest I see here the better chances I will have to get a dealership to go along with it. I know there is a market. I just need to prove it. Kaley

And gm can figure a way to link taillight to a seat bracket. I can't see any warraty on a truck like that.

Well guys the dealership fell through. They seemed a little interested at first but then it dropped from there. We can still offer the truck in the 45k range, could be more could be less depending on what you want on the truck. I am going to hit up a few more dealerships when I have time. maybe you can have more luck with the dealers by using the 427 GM's considering putting in the new upcoming vettes as a base for the motor.

( and cool 427SS badges on the fenders mmmmmmmm )
