What (on average) is your oil consumption over 3000 miles, and also what are your cam specs?

I have a 223/226 in my 6.0, and usually use 1 qt between changes.

my stock motor has since day one drank about 1 qt between 5,000 mile oil changes, I don't think you have any issues

...and no I won't help you pull the motor, cam, heads or whatever it is you are trying to justify swapping this time

almost a quart in 3000 miles. If I get side tracked and don't chnage my oil with in 5000 I am hurtin. I can almost get a 2 quarts in to the fill line.

Possibly, my 5.3 never used any, till I changed teh PCV valve, I got another new one when I dropped the 6 in there, and my "check engine oil" light comes on before the change most of the time. Its always 1 qt low when the light comes on.
