Default Hangin with a C6

Guys i have one stupid friend who thinks he can throw a LS2 into his ecsb 02 chevy and hang with the C6's i proptly told him he was a freakin idiot but it got me kinda thinkin......

what would it take to hang with a C6? what does a stock C6 run quarter mile? i am gonna say some kind of Fi but didnt know if anyone had any personal experience (that aint bs) hangin with a C6 and what setup they have

i am guessing from what ive read that it would be almost impossible to keep up with one from a rolling start (say 40 or 50mph) so i suppose it would have to be handled off the line? massive amounts of torque? just thinkin out loud....

From what I've seen they run around LOW 13's in stock form. If he cammed that ls2, did full bolt ons with a big stall, gears, and a good limited slip then he might have a chance n/a.

I just say spray a 150 shot on a full bolt ons 5.3L

i had a LQ9 with 243 heads which is the same as a LS2 basically. i had a torquer 2 cam auto with 410s. and ran a c6 a few times on the way back from the track. lets just say the vette owner was impress and upset that he lost to a truck. after the 3rd time he waved i waved and off we went. so yes its very possible up to a certain mph once you hit about 115 or so the vette has a better chance

That should do it but sometime after 100mph the Vette will eventually come by.

Ya the 2008 c6 vette is getting a 6.2l, an improved clutch system and several other things (yes same arcitecture as denali/escalade 6.2l no not the same motor) Supposed to run low low 12's or clip high 11's.

2008 LS7 engine – The Z06’s LS7 7.0L engine delivers 505 horsepower (377 kW) in a 3,132-pound (1,421 kg) package – a combination that delivers 0-60 performance of 3.7 seconds in first gear, quarter-mile times of 11.7 seconds at 125 mph and a top speed of 198 mph (as recorded on Germany’s Autobahn). It also provides maximum lateral acceleration of 1.04 g and 60-0 braking in 111.3 feet; it also circuited Germany ’s famed Nürburgring in a time of 7:43.
