fyi...Main difference between the rockers is that the YTs have the largest shaft /torrington bearing setup, less nose weight than any other aftermarket alloy rocker system with an internal circlip on the roller tip.
The main reason for this thread was to look for opinions to help me decide on a very low milage used set. Because there was both HS And YT used for sale with under 2000 miles . And 2009 is still to near to take a chance and get a low mileage used set and get part of the bad batch. I wouldn't take a chance on my top end going fubar over broken rockers. I'm sure both brands are great but the reason with the bad batch being only 2009 I think the choice is Harland sharp. Thanx to everyone for ur input it's ways appreciated.

What's the point in upgrading over stock? Does h/c justify needing 1.7s?

1.7 is the same as stock. Just they have roller tips and different bearings.

The other options are getting 1.8 or upgrading the trunnion bearings in the stock ones.

I went with H&S 1.8 and like them so far. I upgraded heads and changed to rockers at same time. The change of both added alot to my little set up. I have the 5.3 CNC heads from SDParts and a HT1 cam 214/218 .559/.562 111 my lift with the 1.8 is around .595 so the head flow should be close. I also went with a pac1518 spring.

during the change I went with pacesetter long tubes and y pipe with no cats.
This is a 4x4 truck with 4.56 gears and 35inch tires. It moves along pretty good.

I just had a YT 1.7 break (pushrod side) on my LS6 head. Low miles and no abuse. Know where i can buy just 1 or 2?
