Harmonic vibration at 1800 RPM
Lately I've been a little obsessed with all of the ticking, tapping, and slapping noises that my engine makes , and doing alot of full throttle runs, part throttle runs, down shifting, etc. to try and convince myself that it's normal, or diag where the problem lies. (a part of me wants it to break so I "have" to get a 6.0 ) While sitting in park and revving and holding the engine at different rpm's, I noticed that when I bring it up to about 1800 and hold it there, it has a consistent vibration...almost like a mis, but more like a balance issue. It's fine everywhere else, just that one spot. Do you think that there's a problem or am I just frickin nutz?

A couple of weeks ago I noticed a vibration as well. Im a freak about noises too. I always had some ticks and things but when I dropped th LS1 in it got alot louder but its just part of the motors reputation. Back to my vibrating. Mine only does it when I put it in drive and hit like around 1500 rps and then goes away soon after but I can hold the brake and hit the gas and make it constant at a certain rpm. It only does it in drive! What do you think it is? I thought it might be a line or hose but I couldnt find anything. It sounds like it is in the firewall on the passanger side and I can feel it vibrate in the pedal! Any thoughts?
