Default Has anyone changed the oil in their Whipple yet?

It is about time for it to be done, I have about 20,000 miles with the Whipple right now and they reccomend that it be changed every 24,000 miles. Has anyone done this? If so, how do you do it?

Thanks, Kent.

I havent changed mine...but the drain plug is directly underneath the dipstick/fill hole. You probably will have to remove the intake tube to get to it and hold a cup underneath as it drains.
The best way to do it would probably be to get somthing to suck out the oil instead of draining.Easier and not as messy. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

this probably wont help but i have changed mine a couple of times, everytime i have the blower off i change it. those damn allen bolts get stuck, i had to take some chanel locks to the dipstick one. i got the oil at a local car parts store, champian. they probably sell it everywhere.

I just bought one from Whipple last week and that stupid thing costs $20. They said that because it has a rubber seal on it, it does not need much tightening.

I have my oil changed in my whipple every other oil change about 9k miles at my brother's shop. They use an oil suction device to suck it out, when the originally took out the drain plug no oil would come out.
