Default Has anyone installed a trans cooler?

If so, which one did you go with? Was it easy to install? Who? What? Where? Cost? Thank you, my trans temp likes to sit at 200. I would like it at 180.

That link should help you out some. Do a search on tranny coolers and you should find answers to all your questions.

BTW: Tell me about your 4L65E. Where did you get it, is there a noticable difference from the 4L60E, any computer changes to use it? Also, if you don't mind, what kinda cost for the swap, and did you beef it up, or just swap? Thanks

Here is mine. It is a Hayden RV cooler. The Hayden # was 405 and the kit is #390. Pretty straight forward. And Yes the return is the top. Here is another thread:https://ls1tech.com/ubb/cgi-bin/ulti...;f=18;t=001285

premount

After mount.

I installed a B&M SuperCooler a few weeks ago and it was really easy to install. My trans temp usually stayed 175-180. Now it runs 135-140 so I would say that it works OK. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

I am sorry Big J I just now noticed that you had a question about my 4L65E. I just upgraded my 4L60E with the parts. I work at a GM dealership so I got the parts in a free kinda way, but I think that all the parts cost around $450. There was no difference that I could tell. I hope this helps.
