My reply might surprise you but a solid H/C package, converter and a 100 shot would be my bang for the buck.

Either one you choose will be a good decision however the Radix was designed to last the life of your engine, a fat cam and heavy valve springs will will require some TLC before the radix will IMHO

I think you would be surprised......Look at AP2002's times on stock heads.

Alright, I'll put in my .02.

I went with a h/c set up after wanting a Maggie forever. Why? Money! Not enough of it. I got the TSP 228R / Stg 2.5 heads with dual valve springs, lifters, pushrods, LS6 oil pump, and rod bolts for around $2700 with a Wheatley tune. I love it. I need a 3600 converter but that will come within time.

Now with that said, my truck is not a daily driver. It is dependable, but with the set up I have, it will need maintinance more often. I think I am putting down around 380 rwhp, but that is not confirmed yet. I know a lot of stock trucks with a radix will put down high 300's. My personal goal is 400 rwhp and 12's n/a out of a 5.3 ex-cab. You can do that with a supercharger and maybe a few other supporting mods. The difference is I have no room to grow unless I go bigger cubes or nitrous. If you have a supercharger, you can still put in a cam, heads, etc. A lot of the sickly addicted like me and many others will push the limit looking for more power. FI will give you the advantage to grow and be much faster than the h/c truck.

To sum it up, it is entirely up to you. Use your imagination, do research, and make something that no one else has done!
