Default Head gasket question

Can i use a 5.7 gasket 3.898 bore, on a 4.8 block i think the bore is .010 smaller 3.798

I went w/ a .040 gasket to up the CR just a lil.

More specifically. If the 5.7 is an LSX engine, then yes. If it's an LT1 No.

I have a set of the MLS gaskets for a 5.7 if you need them. I ended up getting the factory 4.8/5.3 MLS just in case. The part number is 12575329 for the factory GM part.

Bore is 3.779 but yes the gaskets will work if they're standard LS1 size gaskets.

If you get a set of gm gaskets for a 03 Z06 they are stamped 5.3HO/5.7.

Correct. They are cheaper too. here is the part number if you need it 12498544.
