Default head work

I was searching thru the old threads and couldn't find much about where to get some heads ported and polished. I know of some places out there, but wanted to know who you guys have sent yours to or plan to maybe.

I have a 5.3L and wanna get the stock heads done. Im gonna be doin a cam and header install in the near future and figured P&P heads would go good with this. Would it be better to just go buy a set like the patriot heads already worked? give me some opinions please

Trevor Johnson in Rockwall, TX. Don't have his number handy but could get it if you want it.

If you are going with ported heads, change the cam at the same time and add some longtube headers.I would call some of our site sponsors and tell them that you have a 5.3 because bore size will have an effect on what size valves they put in your heads and what your truck weighs, what gearing you have, and what kind of drivability you expect, then let them come up with a combo that meets your needs. That will save you a lot of time and money in the longrun.
