How does $300 sound for a LT install??

probably normal, why not do it yourself? Is custom exhaust work needed to make your exhaust connect up to the headers? If so, then $300.00 isn't too bad if it includes that as well.

High as giraffe *****, unless like stated above, it includes custom pipe fabrication.

do it your self and then drive to the exhaust shop get a y made for $100-$150

LT's require cutting and welding. They have to cut a section of pipe just ahead of the cats, then weld a flange that mates up with the headers.

I always thought people said they were hard cuz of undoing the steering and all of that

ITS NOT HARD AT ALL. I DID MINE IN A COUPLE OF HOURS WITH THE HELP OF A FRIEND AND A 12 PACK

I put em for $60 by themselves and $30 more with the custom y-pipe.
